Bodsham Development Project
3rd April 2015

The Scout Association Development Team and members of both Ashford and CW&H Districts have these past few months been supporting a project at Bodsham to look at the viability of a new Scout Group. CW&H District hosted young people and their parents at Ross Wood to share scouting experiences and ideas. Don Wills, Scout Association, Alan Noakes, Deputy County Commissioner, Sam Trill, CW&H District Commissioner and Leaders from 6th Ashford and 14th Canterbury Scout Groups were all in attendance to give the young people a great time and to encourage parents to get involved. The project group currently meet at the local village school as an after school activity. The Ross Wood visit coincided with the investiture of young people into the Scout Movement and it is hoped that over the coming year a full Scout Group can be established to serve Bodsham and the surrounding rural communities.
