The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Canterbury, Whitstable & Herne Bay operate a District based Duke of Edinburgh's Award Unit.

Meeting once a month this Unit focuses on preparing Young People to undertake the Expedition section of the Award, as well as supporting them to complete the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections.

More information on the DofE Award can be found on the DofE website, www.dofe.org.

The District Unit focuses on Bronze and Silver Awards, with Gold Award being supported by Kent County Scouts.  Please note that to undertake DofE with us you must be a member of an Explorer Scout Unit.

Expedition weekends are organised by Kent County Scouts and are open to Expedition Teams from throughout Kent. Kent County DofE webpages are located here.

For information specific to the District Unit please contact Sam Jackman, the District DofE Coordinator.
