District D of E Award Presentation 2015

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award presentation evening held by Canterbury, Whitstable & Herne Bay District Scouts.
12 Bronze Awards have been gained by Explorer Scouts from the District in the last year, along with 10 Silver Awards.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme is for young people aged 14 to 24 and has three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level consists of 4 sections, Volunteering, Skills, Physical and an Expedition which are worked towards for 3 to 6 months each.
The awards were presented by Harvey Kennett, County Commissioner for Kent Scouts, Alan Noake, Deputy County Commissioner for Kent Scouts and Sam Trill, District Commissioner for Canterbury, Whitstable & Herne Bay District Scouts.
