New Junior Activity Area Ross Wood

Volunteers from across the District turned up at our District Camp site, Ross Wood to help with the creation of a new activity area for junior members.
The District Network Unit hiked to Ross on Saturday staying overnight for a social get together and were on site to help with the work. Leaders from several Groups also joined the Site Warden, Tony and his Team to lay down a safe playing area around the new equipment. With so many on site the work at the play area was fast completed and so attention moved to clearing out the ditches (an annual requirement) to help with site drainage.
Sam our DC made sure the tea flowed and hot snacks were served at lunchtime.
Plenty of hard enjoyable work by all ensured Tony and his Team are on track for the start of the main camping season.
